The Kona Coast of Hawaii is considered the primary place in the world to view manta rays after sunset. During this approx 2 -hour snorkeling tour with a knowledgeable guide, watch these extraordinary creatures feed on plentiful plankton attracted by underwater lights. With wingspans that can reach more than 20 feet (6 meters) across, manta rays have no teeth or barb on the tail. Departure is from the North side of Honokohau Harbor. Our system will text you the day before of the tour so you have detailed directions to the manta meeting location. Manta Boat #1 and Manta Boat #2 depart in slightly different areas in the Honokohau Harbor.

GPS: 74 Kealakehe Pkwy, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740 ( maps don’t always work in harbor)

After turning down the harbor road be sure to take your first RIGHT-hand turn on Kealakehe Parkway. Go past the sign “Gentry’s Kona Marina”. This road will curve around to a large gravel parking lot where parking is free. Please look for the brown roof building pavilion with bathrooms. After turning down the harbor road be sure to take your first RIGHT-hand turn on Kealakehe Parkway. Go past the sign “Gentry’s Kona Marina”. This road will curve around a large gravel parking lot. Keep going straight as it curves around. After the curve, your check-in place is straight ahead by two yellow poles. The sign on the side says ” IRUKA”
