Stop At: Knik Glacier, Alaska 99686, USA
We travel approximately 25 miles off road, crossing two to three streams, sometimes in open glacial riverbed, and others traveling through winding forest trails. We may see moose, mountain goats, fox, rabbits, and bald eagles. When we arrive at the five-mile-wide face of Knik Glacier, the guides start a campfire, and set up the spotting scopes for your use. While you enjoy the incredible views, you’re guides prepare a hot off the grill Alaskan gourmet lunch. after approximately two hours we start our trip back to the trail head taking alternate routes when we can. this is where the going gets tough and there may be winching involved. don’t worry your guides help you all along the way.
