Dealey Plaza is a city park in the West End. It is sometimes called the “birthplace of Dallas”. It also was the location of the assassination of President Kennedy, on November 22, 1963
Stop At: The Texas Theatre, 231 W Jefferson Blvd, Dallas, TX 75208-4510
Oswald was arrested here while calmly watching a movie.
Stop At: The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, 411 Elm St, Dallas, TX 75202-3301
John F. Kennedy and the Memory of a Nation – the core exhibit on the sixth floor – is a self-guided experience. Using the audio guide included with admission, it takes about 90 minutes to go through the exhibit if you listen to everything. The seventh floor occasionally holds temporary exhibits, and exploring those will add a bit of time to your Museum visit.
