Why choose this Estes Park tour ?
Join us for a guided sledding adventure in our 3-row Subaru Ascent through Rocky Mountain National Park on a 5 – 6 hour private tour with only your party & your guide! On our tour, you’ll see a frozen waterfall, we’ll drive up the iconic Trail Ridge Road as far as it is opened for the season, go sledding for up to an hour at the Hidden Valley snowplay area, if conditions allow, walk around a frozen Bear Lake or Sprague Lake (both flat & less than a mile), and you’ll also visit the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center at the end of your tour. This tour is NOT a hiking tour, and focuses more on driving in the National Park with small strolls throughout. Minimum of 2 guests.
*Micro spikes will be used instead of snowshoes and are included for your tour to keep you safe while walking on icy surfaces.
We are only able to offer hotel pickup in Estes Park. If you’re not staying in Estes Park, we can meet you at the free parking garage for the Estes Park Visitor Center for pickup.

What makes Private Winter Tour + Sledding in Rocky Mountain National Park a unique experience ?
Our winter tour, starting in Estes Park, is all about taking a beautiful drive into the snow-covered Rocky Mountain National Park with a small snow / icy hike around Bear Lake (if conditions allow). We’ll take you as high up Trail Ridge Road as the weather allows. You’ll see frozen lakes, beautiful meadows, and wildlife. Your entrance into the Rocky Mountain National Park is included!
The second stop on your guided tour is the beautiful frozen Alluvial Fan waterfall. Your driver will give you the interesting history of this geological feature.
During the winter months, the famous Trail Ridge Road is usually closed past Many Parks Curve, but your driver will take you as far up the road as possible to see parts of the National Park from above.
You will spend up to an hour at the Hidden Valley Snow Play area where you enjoy some sledding and learn the history of the Hidden Valley.
If conditions allow, the main destination of your guided tour is the popular Bear Lake. This beautiful area is much more peaceful during the winter off-season months. Your guide will snowshoe with you around a frozen Bear Lake, where there are many beautiful photo spots.
At the end of your guided tour, you’ll make a stop at the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center to purchase souvenirs and get your National Park Passport stamped!
If conditions do not allow for snowshoeing at Bear Lake, your guide will instead take you to snowshoe around the equally beautiful Sprague Lake.
