Private 4-Hour Inshore Fishing Charter in Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale Trip Overview

This Private Small Group 4-Hour Inshore Fishing Charter is perfect for those light tackle fishermen who prefer staying on the inshore waters, rather than going out to the deep sea. On our inshore fishing trips, we fish around the bridges, fish cleaning docks, jetties that line the inlet, mangrove trees and other spots that we like to fish. Target species are Jack Crevalle, Barracuda, Tarpon, Snook, Sharks, Goliath Grouper and more. We generally try to use light tackle to catch these fish. The nice thing about fishing the Intracoastal Waterway is that the ocean is always calm, even when it is windy, so you don’t have to worry about seasickness.

While there is more variety to be caught fishing offshore Fort Lauderdale in the deep sea, there are many species that can only be caught in the shallow waters of the Intracoastal Waterway. Day trips tend to be best for action, night trips may lack in action but may yield the elusive silver king AKA tarpon.

While there is more variety to be caught fishing offshore Fort Lauderdale in the deep sea, there are many species, some of them very desirable, that can only be caught in the shallow waters of the Intracoastal Waterway. On our inshore charters, we don’t have much travel time to get out to fishing grounds, so a 4 hour half day trip is usually enough. We can do daytime or night time trips for inshore and I particularly enjoy night fishing as the sun and heat are no longer an issue, and both Tarpon and Snook are more aggressive nocturnally.
