Greenville’s original city park, featuring public art, a zoo, a large playground, and a bird sanctuary! Before we leave this park, we’ll make a quick restroom stop next to the zoo.
Enjoy a ride along the newest segment of the Swamp Rabbit Trail from Cleveland Park to Legacy Park. As we ride into the Verdae community of Greenville, we will pass by brand-new Holland Park, breweries, coffee shops, the downtown airport, public art, and tons of new and innovative bicycle infrastructure!
A 20-acre space inspired by the pastoral park design, used by Frederick Law Olmstead, for New York City’s Central Park. This is the newest park linked to the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
As we ride back toward downtown, we will pass by the Maj. Rudolph Anderson Memorial, where we will learn more about the life of an American hero and Greenville native.
As we pass through Falls Park on our return trip, we will have a photo opportunity in front of the Medusa Tree and view a tucked-away sculpture by the famous artist Dale Chihuly.
No visit to Greenville is complete without a stop at Gather GVL, a nationally recognized outdoor food court. We’ll sample some local treats and enjoy the lively atmosphere of a local favorite.
