Itinerary

Day 1: Dinner and Introductions at The Bellagio in Las Vegas

Stop At: Fountains of Bellagio, 3600 Las Vegas Blvd S Bellagio Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, NV 89109-4303
The Trip begins with the group’s arrival into the bustle of Las Vegas, Nevada. We will meet for introductions and dinner near downtown. Afterwards a short walk next door to the Bellagio Casino to enjoy its world famous Fountain Display and seasonal flower display. The night will be spent at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

Day 2: Backpacking Longest Slot Canyon in the World

Stop At: Buckskin Mountain State Park, 5476 N Highway 95, Parker, AZ 85344-8776
Departure split between a luxury coach and sprinter camper van will make the road trip comfortable as we head to Buckskin Gulch. Two day backpacking trip into the longest slot canyon in the world. As large and impressive as the famous Narrows Hike in Zion, but far lesser known, quiet, beautiful and secluded.

Day 3: Day two of Backcountry Backpacking

Stop At: Buckskin Gulch, Kanab, UT
After a camping breakfast we wake up and enjoy the seclusion of the canyon backcountry. We continue our hiking through the Canyon finding peace before hiking out and heading to Page Arizona near Lake Powell. Stay in an Adobe Airbnb in Page, Arizona.

Day 4: The Grand Canyon

Stop At: Grand Canyon National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
This day we are driving from Page Arizona to the Hopi Nation. We spend the day at the Grand Canyon. We do a small hike at this stunning and world famous Geographical Location.
Duration: 4 hours

Accommodation included: Accomedation is at a Hotel on the HOPI Reservation. It’s modest but comfortable.

Day 5: Hopi Nation Culture, Spirituality, Volunteer Project and Traditional Meal

Stop At: Experience Hopi, Second Mesa, AZ
This is where we see and learn the Hopi way of life from a Hopi Elder. How their culture developed and practiced Dry Farming. Learning about different Native American Tribes, where they came from whether over the Bering Strait or in Boats from Asia. We visit ancient petroglyphs on Hopi Land and about the fascinating peaceful history of the Hopi People. We have Piki, a traditional Hopi dish cooked by the tribe. We help with a volunteer project that helps the tribe. If we are lucky the Hopi Nation will be holding a Social Dance that evening and we’ll be able to attend.

Day 6: Native American Monument Valley Tour Navajo Crafts and Music

Stop At: Monument Valley, Monument Valley, Utah
Personal Navajo led tour through Monument Valley. Monument Valley is on Navajo Land, so we get exclusive access to the restricted backcountry of this stunning place. We listen to peace flutes in the giant redrock amphitheater, witness Navajo rug making.

The Night is spent in a traditional Navajo Hogan (earthen home dwelling) with our Navajo Hosts. This is an authentic look into how many Navajo live today. The floors are earth, the bathroom is an outhouse outside. The Wifi is spotty. The people are warm and the views are amazing. Our Navajo Host Cecilia will cook a traditional Navajo dinner for us.

Day 7: Mesa Verde National Park

Stop At: Mesa Verde National Park, Mesa Verde National Park, Colorado
Driving to Moab. This is the longest road trip day with 5.5 hours on the road. We break it up with a visit to Mesa Verde National Park, the largest Native American Cliff Dwelling in the World.

Day 8: Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Journey over Canyonlands, 4×4 Jeep Off-Roading Canyonlands

Stop At: Canyonlands National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Utah
ake up with a Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Journey over stunning Moab. Moab boasts both Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. After the traditional celebratory glass of Hot Air Balloon champagne, you’ll get behind the wheel of a Jeep Wrangler which will take us down the Shafer Trail and White Rim Canyon. You’ll be able to off-road in this moderately difficult road for high clearance vehicles. Driving in the backcountry of Canyonlands National Park and Deadhorse State Park, along the rim of the beautiful Colorado River.

Day 9: Cowboy Horseback Camping in Capitol Reef National Park

Stop At: Capitol Reef National Park, Capitol Reef National Park, Utah
Get on your Horse because we are heading into the backcountry of Capitol Reef National Park. We are taking you through stunning scenery and the horses carry our gear for us! Cowboy Music around the fire, Cowboy Poetry, Cowboy Camping at its best.

Day 10: Day Two Horseback Camping

Stop At: Capitol Reef National Park, Capitol Reef National Park, Utah
Day two of Horseback riding through gorgeous desert scenery. Relationship & Healing exercises. The Container of the wild to facilitate this healing.

Day 11: Sacred Medicine in a Teepee, Visiting World’s Largest Organism

Stop At: Fishlake National Forest, 115 E 900 N, Richfield, UT 84701-1847
We visit the world’s Largest and possibly Oldest Organism, an Aspen Tree forest connected by a shared root system estimated to be over 80,000 years old. After a visit here we arrive at Trey & Kami’s. This is an operating ranch where Trey teaches a course on healing trauma by working with Wild Mustangs. We then enter the Teepee to have a healing sacred medicine ceremony with Grandfather Peyote. The afternoon is spent around the fire, healing with each other and this medicine. Campfire Cooking, Stories and Stargazing in the evening as Fremont is designated one of the darkest skies on earth with 1 of the worlds 90 designations. (Sacred Medicine is optional as we are believers in never forcing medicine, but rather being called to it. There are optional activities if you do not wish to partake in the medicine)

Day 12: Day of Rest and Peace in Boulder Utah

Stop At: Boulder, Boulder, Utah
A beautiful relaxing day in Boulder, Utah. This tiny town is so far off the map that it was the last town to get the Mail from the Pony Express in the 1800’s. We stay at the Boulder Ranch and relax in the peaceful exclusion this place has to offer.

Day 13: Hike to Angels Landing in Zion National Park

Stop At: Zion National Park, Zion National Park, Utah
From Boulder we take what was voted the World’s most scenic road to Zion National Park. We go Canyoneering down Pinecreek Canyon. Pinecreek Canyon is a remarkable twisting slot canyon with 7 repels, ending in a 75 foot repel.
Driving to Las Vegas for everyone’s return flights after the trip of a lifetime. Thank you so much for joining everyone.
