The Pike offers the same attractions you would expect from most urban complexes such as a cinema, bars and restaurants but it is the history of the Pike and its unfortunate demise that is most interesting.

Credited with creating a boom in business, tourism and finance within the city, the Long Beach Grand Prix has become a must see race for motor sport fans from all over the world.

This area is also known as Long Beach Entertainment Centre and construction was completed in 1962.

The East Village is perhaps the most culturally diverse area of Long Beach. This diversity is reflected in the architecture that makes up the area and includes high rise condos, studio apartments and small craftmans cottages.

The Museum of Latin American Art or MOLAA as it is more commonly known, was opened in 1996 and is the base for Latin American art and culture in the greater Los Angeles area.

Island Grissom is one of the four man made islands constructed in 1964, which are used to excavate oil from the Wilmington oil fields.

Shoreline Village is a commercial area of Long Beach that runs from the Yard House, all the way along to Parkers Lighthouse.
