We all got used to the fact that Hollywood Hills is the most prestigious place in Los Angeles, where celebrities live attracting dozens of paparazzi on the streets, and where there is the most expensive real estate in the world. But little more than 100 years ago it was just a small village. In 1923, the famous HOLLYWOODLAND sign appeared on the hills, which later was shortened by HOLLYWOOD. For a long time, the neighborhood wasn’t the desired place to live because of the difficult construction conditions and building materials were hard to deliver. Let your guide tell you about the first settlers and those who developed the district.

Pass by Lake Hollywood on your way to the sign and learn more about the artificial reservoir that has been supplying the City of Angels with water since 1924.
