Originally named Salem, Settlement began in the 1770s. In 1780 William Bard, David’s brother, laid out Bardstown on the site. It became the county seat when Nelson county, Virginia was formed in 1784.

Mr. Tubs, once a bustling laundry mat, has transformed into a vibrant and eclectic bar! Retaining its original name as a nod to its humble beginnings. Exuding unique charm, with its industrial-chic aesthetic; blending remnants of its laundry past, modern décor and ambiance.
