Mount Dora Trip Overview
In pure holiday fashion our Christmas Lights Electric Cart Tour takes you on a tour through historic downtown Mount Dora so you can experience Christmas illumination like never before! With over 2 million lights decorating this tiny town it is a sight to behold! We’ll travel through Donnelly Park to view the many brightly lit Oak Trees. The historic Lakeside Inn, which is the oldest continuously running hotel in Florida, will be decorated to the hilt for the holidays. Mount Dora Marina and Boating Center has over 1 million lights displayed between their building, marina and the holiday characters in their yard. Sunset Park is where our 3 story Christmas Tree sits and is spectacularly beautiful with life size Soldiers standing at attention. In addition we’ll visit the B&Bs, shops and restaurants that share in the holiday merriment. This tour is certain to put you in the holiday spirit and only runs from Thanksgiving weekend through the first of the year!

On our Christmas Lights Tour we’ll pass by the Old Jail House lit up in true Christmas fashion. This building is now the Historical Society Museum and definitely worth a visit after your tour with us as it’s filled with trinkets from years gone by.

The Donnelly House is a beautiful Queen Anne style home built in 1893. JP Donnelly, the First Mayor of Mount Dora, built it for the Love of his Life and every year it is garnished with exquisite Christmas decorations.
