While paddling through the peaceful serene waters that make The Rookery Bay and the Ten Thousand Islands ecosystem, you will encounter different species of birds and small creatures that live in this pristine subtropical mangrove forest estuary. Rookery Bay National Estuarine Reserve represents one of the few remaining undisturbed mangrove estuaries in North America.
