We love the food of New Orleans – from cajun to creole (yes there is a difference) to the sweet beignets of Cafe du Monde – our hint – don’t try and get a table, just go to the takeout window and proceed to your next stop.

This part of Louisiana was originally settled because of its critical location on the Mississippi, come see the mighty river and learn about the history.

While currently closed due to the pandemic, you’ll peak through the iron gateway to see the oldest building in the city – built by the French king – and home for centuries to cloistered nuns.

Just across the street is the Beauregard-Keyes House, one of the best preserved examples of 1800s architecture in the city.
