One of the main highlights of the museum is constituted by one of the finest collections of dinosaur fossils in the world, with some exhibits more than 60-million years old. You will learn all about the awe-inspiring Tyrannosaurus Rex, one of the most terrifying predators that ever lived. With its 6-inch-long teeth, it was able to devour smaller dinosaurs in a matter of minutes. The dinosaur collection also features a 65-million-year-old Triceratops, a number of dinosaur mummies and much more besides.
Another hugely popular section of the museum is known as the Scales of the Universe, and here you can get an idea of the vast range of sizes in the universe, from subatomic particles right through to the largest objects observable in space.
Other wonders of the natural world that you will have the opportunity to admire include a giant model of blue whale, and a section of a giant sequoia tree which can can offer a glance at over 1,400 years of history!
