Pioneertown Trip Overview
Each week we visit a uniquely different location to help share perspective of the diverse desert landscape. Our tours take us through an all-natural desert oasis, an authentic Native American portal with petroglyphs ranging over 2000+ years, boulder caves on the San Andres fault line and some of the most spectacular views in the Joshua Tree area. We will learn about the local flora, fauna, geological, geographical, historical and cultural significance of the land while we immerse in the beauty of Mother Nature. We will scout for local wildlife including bird species like the desert dove, quail and red-tailed hawk, prey animals like rabbits, squirrels and chipmunks, predatorial animals like coyotes and bobcats or even the illusive big-horned sheep.
All tours are designed to be kid friendly with safety in mind and are ideal for ages 4-12. Each location offers roughly a 1 mile nature walk on manicured foot trails over basic desert terrain.
