You’ll have two hours to visit beautiful tulip gardens and walk around acres of fields of tulips in the morning and then have a midday break in LaConner, Washington rated “The Most Romantic Getaway” in Washington State. During this time you can enjoy a meal at many of their highly rated restaurants or shop at the wonderful boutiques and stores.

Finally we head back to Seattle in a comfortable coach with transport back to the Hyatt Regency in Seattle.

Stop At: Shutter Tours – Day Tours, Seattle, WA 98101

Our tour begins in our comfortable custom ordered mini coaches as we journey through scenic farmlands and across the Skagit River with Mount Baker as a backdrop. Our first destination will be the drive past the tulip fields in Mt. Vernon Washington. Here you will see your first colors of the tulip and daffodil fields when in bloom. An exciting introduction of what is to come upon your arrival at the Tulip gardens.

Stop At: Roozengaarde Display Garden, 15867 Beaver Marsh Rd, Mount Vernon, WA 98273-8802

We then visit the beautiful flower gardens at Roozengaarde, owned by the Roozen family – bulb growers in Holland and the United States since the early 1700s. Growing in their display garden you will have the opportunity to photograph 90+ tulip varieties in addition to many more varieties of daffodils, hyacinths, crocus, & specialty flowers. Planted just behind the garden is a large tulip field filled with seemingly endless rows of color. Don’t forget to pick up their free catalog where you can buy over 140 varieties of bulbs. Shutter Tours includes the admission fee to this garden as part of your tour price.

Stop At: La Conner, La Conner, Washington

The historic town of La Conner, Washington is a favorite for guests. After a couple hours at the tulip fields and gardens you will likely be ready to settle down for a good meal at the many excellent restaurants.

Perhaps you’ll want to try the Polenta with gorgonzola and mushrooms at Nell Thorn. Or Calico Cupboard Cafe’a and Bakery with their excellent sandwiches and huge cinnamon rolls.

And two exciting stores you don’t want to miss are Caravan Gallery stocked with personally procured jewelry and textiles brought from far off places like Bali and Thailand by the owner Linda. The Wood Merchant will have you excited as you browse through the offerings of over 300 unique wood craftsman’s who create both affordable and heirloom quality wood products.
