Fall Out Boy are one of the most successful pop punk bands of the last few decades. They’ve released four No. 1 albums and 10 Top 40 singles while working alongside top artists such as JAY-Z, Taylor Swift, Elton John, Wiz Khalifa, John Mayer, Demi Lovato and RM of BTS. The quartet of guitarist and vocalist Patrick Stump, bassist Pete Wentz, guitarist Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley rose from the emo scene outside of Chicago and released their debut album Take This to Your Grave in 2003. Fall Out Boy made their major label debut with 2005’s From Under the Cork Tree, which featured the band’s first two Hot 100 singles, “Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down” and “Dance, Dance,” and led to the band’s first Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2006. The group’s 2007 follow-up Infinity on High debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 behind singles like “This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race,” which reached a career-best No. 2 on the Hot 100, and “Thnks fr th Mmrs.” After 2008’s Folie à Deux, Fall Out Boy went on hiatus, but made an emphatic return with three back-to-back No.1 debuts in 2013’s Save Rock and Roll, 2015’s American Beauty/American Psycho, and 2018’s Mania. In 2023, Fall Out Boy released their eighth full-length effort So Much (for) Stardust, which became the band’s seventh consecutive Top 10 album.
