    Ivy Lab on Tour

Once an experimental British bass trio, Ivy Lab has evolved into a powerhouse beats duo that’s conquering the U.S. electronic music scene.

Comprising Jonathan J. Fogel and Gove Kidao, Ivy Lab shares musical space with artists including Daddy Kev and Flying Lotus. They’re considered part of the genre’s second generation — or “beats 2.0,”  as Kidao likes to refer to it.

After a successful set at California’s Lightning in a Bottle Festival in 2017, Ivy Lab realized that a majority of their fanbase was based in the U.S. and decided they wanted to focus their attention on conquering America.

Since then, they’ve made a name for themselves both Stateside and in their native UK and released their critically acclaimed third studio album, Infinite Falling Ground, in late 2022. EDM.com called the 14-track album a “tour de force” with haunting, introspective production and “their most entrancing work yet.”

On Ivy Lab’s eponymous 2023 tour, the duo are debuting an ambitious new audiovisual concept on the road, hitting cities across the U.S. early in the year. Don’t miss your chance to grab tickets for this unforgettable experience.

    Ivy Lab Live in Concert

Formed in London in the early 2010s by bass producers Sabre (Gove Kiado), Stray (Jonathan J. Fogel) and Halogenix (Laurence Reading), they had each already made a name for themselves and had solid reputations in the electronic music scene. When the three of them met through mutual friends and music forums, they decided to join forces and try something different, each bringing their own unique talents to the proceedings.

Taking their name from their home studio, known as a “lab” by producers, as well as the ivy that grew around it, Ivy Lab was born. Experimenting with music that Gove describes as “the deeper, soulful end of d’n’b,” the age difference of the band members (Gove was almost a decade older than his bandmates) gave the project both a youthful exuberance and a more level-headed quality that resonated with fans.

After five years and one full-length album (20/20 Volume One) as a trio, Reading decided to leave Ivy Lab to focus on his own music as Halogenix. This left Gove and Fogel to carry on and take Ivy Lab to new heights, which they have done with two subsequent critically acclaimed albums — 2018’s Death Don’t Always Taste Good and 2022’s Infinite Falling Ground — and their groundbreaking live performances.
