Before unleashing her solo career, London-born Jessie Ware developed her mesmerizing stage presence as a backup singer for fellow British rocker Jack Penate. While continuing to collaborate with heavy hitters like SBTRKT and Florence and the Machine, Ware was penning and recording originals of her own for her 2012 debut Devotion. The album landed at No. 5 on the UK Albums chart, earned the new singer a Mercury Prize nod, and proved she was well on her way as a rising superstar.
