BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman met in the early ’00s while they were studying at the University of Toronto. After bonding over music they started working together in Ullman’s dorm room studio, and things instantly clicked. The pair released a mixtape under the moniker Good People, and within 24 hours they had been contacted by Drake’s people. After joining the rapper’s then-fledgling OVO Sound label the pair co-produced Drake’s 2013 chart-topper “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” and in 2014 they made their debut as Majid Jordan with the OVO-released EP A Place Like This. They followed up with the single “My Love,” a collaboration with Drake, and in 2016 they cracked the Top 20 on both the R&B and Hip Hop charts with their self-titled debut album. The record’s success drew them out for their first tour, and they’ve been killing it with next-level performances ever since.
