Oregon softball at Jane Sanders Stadium

Anchored by pitchers Maggie Balint, Megan Kleist and Miranda Elish, the Oregon softball team will once again be one of the top teams in the NCAA for the 2018 season. Head coach Mike White’s team, winners of four of the last five Pac-12 titles, will play 20 games at Jane Sanders Stadium, one of the best softball venues in the country. New for the 2018 season, Jane Sanders Stadium will feature permanent bleacher seating in the outfield, with new and expanded restrooms and concessions areas. 

Last year, the trio of underclassmen pitchers helped Oregon to a trip to the Women’s College World Series and a spot in the final four before falling to national champion Oklahoma. Oregon hosted both regional and super regional games at home before advancing to the WCWS, and the sold-out and raucous crowd was a big reason why the Ducks were so successful. 

In addition to all three pitchers returning for the 2018 season, Oregon returns power-hitting catcher Gwen Svekis, slick-fielding third baseman Jenna Lilley and postseason sensation, center fielder Shannon Rhodes and welcomes in a talented freshmen class led by slugger Mary Iakopo and Eugene native Lauren Burke.
