Private Off-Road Cathedral Valley Loop Guided Tour in Capitol Reef National Park

Torrey Trip Overview

Cathedral Valley is one of those places that visitors always end up asking “Where is that?, why didn’t I see that when I visited Capitol Reef?” Reality is, though some of its most awe-inspiring features are included in promotional photos and literature, access to the region is not something a new visitor to the park in a rental vehicle would be advised to embark on. It is, however, one that is highly recommended to any visitor who wants to experience the true heart and soul of what Capitol Reef is. This is a tour that includes such famous features as the Temple of the Sun and the Moon, the Gypsum Sinkhole, Bentonite Hills, and the stunning Cathedral Valley itself! Included in the 60+ mile loop are a river crossing (in the comfort of one of our highly capable vehicles), visits to North, South, Upper and Lower viewpoints of Cathedral Valley, an amazing descent down a set of switchbacks into the valley itself.
