St. Johns Pass Mangrove Paddle

Treasure Island Trip Overview

We love to paddle out to the sandbar in John’s Pass. There are some mangrove islands and a tunnel to paddle through. The water is calm on the bay so it’s easy for beginners and fun for more experienced paddlers. It takes about 30 minutes to get out there. It’s less than a mile from our starting point. We launch from the dock at Treasure Bay Resort & Marina. Parking is free. There is plenty of wildlife along the way. We see ospreys, pelicans, and a variety of birds. We often see dolphins and sometimes manatees.
