The first major landmark you’ll encounter are the Twin Rocks, a funky rock formation that people swear looks exactly like a pair of human molars. Take a look and decide for yourself!

Next comes Chimney Rock, a bright red pillar of rock that looks like a chimney. Here, you’ll also find a great, 3-mile hiking trail to start your trip.

The park is generally open in the winter, but some roads may be impassable due to snow.

⚠️ The scenic drive is closed.
Effective May 20, 2024, the Scenic Drive is closed from just south of the campground to Capitol Gorge. Expect heavy truck traffic. Most of the park remains accessible.
