Itinerary
Embark on a guided day hike in a glacially-cut canyon of the Bitterroot National Forest and paddle around in a backcountry lake in an inflatable kayak! Lunch is served at the lake and snacks are served along the trail. Learn about Montana’s ecologic and geologic history while you hike! This trail is great because it gets away from the crowds and has amazing views of the canyon walls.
Begin the day with a 2 – 4 hr hike up to a mountain lake, and paddle in an inflatable kayak for 1 – 2 hrs. Guides will carry the kayaks, paddles, life-vests, and other essential hiking equipment to ensure a safe, enjoyable trip into the wilderness.
Lunch will be prepared and served by the guide. We will also provide some snacks and coffee or tea at the lake. Guides will also carry a water filter, so you can sip on some crisp, clean mountain water during your breaks.
After the paddle, hike back down to the trailhead and enjoy the rest of your day!
