We depart from the quiet and uncrowded Kawaihae South boat harbor and depending on the weather conditions, navigate north or south along the coast.
The local spinner dolphins get a kick out of surfing behind our jet boat’s wake, and often swim ahead of our bow, giving our guests an amazing up-close show of the dolphins.
During whale season, it’s almost impossible to miss the whale shows of breaching, tail slapping, and splashing.
We will also have an underwater hydrophone to listen to the whales beneath the surface!
This tour does not include snorkeling or swimming.

Itinerary

Stop At: Kohala Coast, Kohala Coast, Island of Hawaii, Hawaii
When we depart from Kawaihae Harbor, we ride towards calm waters and sunny skies for the most ideal snorkeling experience.
When you board the Black Pearl you’ll get to explore the uncrowded waters of the North Kohala Coast.
During your trip, we will ride along the pristine waters and visit 2 different snorkel spots.
It’s common to see spinner dolphins in the early morning rides, many flying fish above the water, and if we’re lucky we may even see manta rays jumping out of the ocean!
On a calm day, we can ride up north to Mahukona and Lapakahi National Park.
On most beautiful days, we ride south towards Puako.
We typically spend 45 minutes to an hour at each snorkel location.
There is ample time for snacking in between sites.
We finish our adventure where we began, in Kawaihae Harbor.
